Sag Harbor is a little town in the heart of the Hampton’s. This is a place where I grew up and one that I absolutely love. For those of you who haven’t been, I thought I could show you around a bit. This way you could find out about some of the must-see places in the Hampton’s. The first thing you must do in the Hampton’s is spend a relaxing day at the ocean. The beaches are beautiful and have great waves for swimming. The beach I would recommend is located in Sagaponack and is called Sagg Maine. Whether you are going with your family, friends or even on your own, this is the perfect ocean. There is plenty of activity going on throughout the day. There is also an ice cream man in case you get the craving for something cold on a hot august day.

The next thing you must do in the Hampton’s involves food. You must eat at Nichols in East Hampton. This restaurant has a garden setting and serves great food at excellent prices. The bread served with the meals is absolutely to die for. It is unlike anything you have ever tasted. The menu includes every type of food imaginable, including: steaks, mussels, hamburgers, salads, soups and everything in between. However, if you want a little bit of a louder scene, I would suggest going to Public House in Southampton. Public House is a brewery and has the best sweet potatoes fries. If this seems like a better bargain for you, then go on a Wednesday night and enjoy the atmosphere. Here’s a website to get a taste of what it’s like: http://www.southamptonbrewery.com/.

Lastly, you must wander into Sag Harbor and take a stroll down the pier. It is romantic and gives the full feel of the perfect setting. You can grab fish and chips form the nearby dockside restaurant and watch the sunset. The pier also is great for viewing some of the spectacular ships that come into the town. They are bigger and more equipped than anything I have ever seen. You may even have a celebrity sighting. You never know!
